A!OLE Forum: Learning by Watching Other People Play Games

Friday, 29 Sep 2017 11:00 - 12:00 Makerspace, Learning Centre Otaniementie 9 Public event

Playing games has been a popular pastime for decades. Recently, watching other people play games has also become hugely widespread. This talk discusses how games and gaming communities are interesting from the perspective of learning and how they can provide exposure to different fields of study. Academic content in games and gaming communities is showcased by looking at how games and gaming communities intertwine with computer science content.

Slides of Lassi Haaranen’s talk is presented here.
