Overview

Goal of this pilot is to create a Linux based exam environment that is bootable from a USB stick onto student computer. The exam system limits the laptops network access, but provides needed tools e.g. for programming exams. System is similar than Abitti, but simpler to use and deploy in Aalto lecture halls. Exams can be made in Aalto network, no special suitcases are needed. The exam itself can be implemented in any of the available online platforms, such as TIM, A+ or MyCourses.

We furthermore aim at creating a statistics tools for TIM system for real-time analysis of online exercises, for example the perceived difficulty, time distribution of submissions, and number of needed submissions.

This pilot is part of the continued development of the TIM system.
