Overview

This Aalto Online Learning Pilot will significantly improve learning by creating entirely new and adaptable online platforms connecting global specialists to Aalto students by engaging climate issues in environmental sustainability education through:

  1. the university’s mission to “combining knowledge from different disciplines” to promote concepts and partnerships between all Aalto schools and research networks
  2. meeting current Aalto student demand for connecting how their specific departmental work plays a role in  broader transdisciplinary systems of academic research and societal impact
  3. implementing Aalto University’s commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals Accord into direct action as Aalto/Aalto Online Learning becomes an online learning exemplar and global hub for transdisciplinary environmental sustainability education
