“Online learning” is trending big time according to Google Trends. There was a clear peak in the week March 22 to March 28, and as of May 11 the trend is still very strong. Please check it out yourself at Google Trends, and pay also attention to where the searches originate from. The reason for the trend is obviously the covid-19 pandemic and how it has made online learning and remote instruction mainstream in a very short period of time.
We have also evidenced this at onlinelearning.aalto.fi. Especially these blog posts have been checked at:

Would you be interested in discussing more on what the trend to go online with learning means, and how can we as a university (or universities and other educational institutes and companies) be better prepared for the waves of learners wishing to join our classes and labs online and by virtual means? Please contact me via tomi.kauppinen@aalto.fi or via @LinkedScience for an exchange of thoughts on this.
