Overview

The aim of this pilot is to create a new bachelor-level course (5 cr.) for non-design students, i.e. in technology, science, and business curricula. The students will learn to understand design as a process and as an everyday phenomenon that can be pursued by anyone. The course materials (lectures, literature and exercises) will be fully online, and the main emphasis of teaching is on quality online learning materials.

The course differentiates from MOOCs in that it involves contact teaching in the form of team’s design facilitation, which may be partly provided through a video connection, such as Adobe Connect.

The core materials are intended to be utilised in all Aalto Schools.
