Spring 2020 Call for Idea Proposals Now Open!

Our next Call for Idea Proposals for the year 2020 is now open! We are calling for ideas on online/blended learning from all Aalto people (faculty, program directors, researchers, staff, students) from any field of study. The deadline for this round is on March 26, 2020 at noon.

Please note we welcome both ideas improving learning in our own programmes and courses, but also in courses targeted for lifelong learners (like our alumni, other professionals, high school students, or elderly).

WHY SHOULD I APPLY?

We offer support and funding for a variety of ideas related to online and blended learning. Projects can range from developing courses or majors, to creating pedagogical trainings or exploring digital services for learning. There are many opportunities to improve education through online means. Browse our list of previous pilots to see some examples. If you are uncertain about what it means to submit an idea proposal or want to learn more about our funding possibilities, read about the process here.

If you submit an idea proposal during this round and your idea gets accepted, the idea becomes a pilot and you are expected to start working on it in July  2020 (tentative, changes possible given the exceptional times). In some situations it is also possible to start working on your project already at the end of this year. Please mention the planned timeline in the application.

HOW TO APPLY?

You can submit your idea proposal by filling in our Call for Idea Proposals form. Please note that the form has been updated since the last call to clarify some of the questions. Once you have your proposal ready, remember to fill in the online form and send it!

If you need help with filling in the form, brainstorming your idea or anything related to the Call for Idea Proposals, you can join our clinic. We organise a Call for Idea Proposals Clinic on Thursday, March 5, to help you prepare everything or to answer any questions you might have.

So, start brainstorming and submit your idea proposal by March 26 at noon!
