Timeline

Overview

This pilot aims at creating an easy-to-use augmented reality tool for presenting 3D models for students & outreach. The end product is a smartphone/tablet/PC app for viewers and the teacher. The app is designed to be easily configured and deployed, letting a lecturer deploy a full 3D model of a subject from a slide and annotate and control the model view on the fly, with students viewing the interactive model presentation through their smart devices (or plain laptop) in the classroom environment and/or as standalone, navigable objects.

Platforms and tools

The software is developed with Unity, due to easy deployment on all main platforms and fast prototyping.
