Overview

The goals of this pilot are to create online VR learning environments based on current Aalto educational space resources, create automated online learning interface integrated with digitized learning spaces and increase the active time spent on learning activities and reduce the teaching expenses.

Platforms and tools

  • The hardware is HTC Vive and the software is Unity
  • The model generation is done using the Fractuscan photogrammetric method
  • The online integration will be done compatible with MyCourses

Involved courses

The MIEDU aims to 5 VR stations for a student throughput of 30 student per day. This is sufficient for 2 parallel Master level courses with maximum of 30 students each.
