Overview

The goals of this pilot are the following:

• To prepare students for the challenges of writing their Bachelor’s Thesis, as well as scientific texts in general through teaching videos.
• To provide students with useful and essential information on how to start their project, pick a topic through teaching videos.
• To generate teaching videos that can be shared with our colleagues at the Departments of Marketing and ISM, as well as in the long run also with other colleagues – at the Business School and other schools, for them to also use in their own teaching.
• In the long run, to determine the success of the course (i.e., the positive impact on students’ learning) and to decide whether introductory content of other courses should also be moved to the online environment.
• To establish and encourage cooperation between different departments at Aalto, and to foster knowledge and resource exchange between them (also going forward).
• In later project stages, to make the videos also accessible to learners outside Aalto.
