Overview

The pilot aims to design and test an open course implemented as a 3D virtual world as it home base for materials and instructions. During the autumn 2016 a test course is run face-to-face with students to collect and test materials for the virtual world implementation. The test course uses flipped classroom principle, where the students get to know different topics before the lectures and present their findings to others. The course includes a major task of making a plan of a virtual world mooc course, allowing the course staff to test their ideas further. The virtual world course is built iteratively during the f2f test course getting feedback from the students on each iteration. The test course is run in the second teaching period of 2016-2017.
